應該是 5, 6 年前, 首次接觸 goth bath, 還記得我看到的是森林.

再隔了 1, 2 年, 才接觸 singing bowl. 我對 singing bowl 是一見鍾情的, haha. 我不太懂, 所以也只在 studio, 或者 download singing bowl 的 app/ kkbox, 但剛剛旅遊時, 店主教了我, 我也帶了一個合眼緣的回家. 這幾天, 也是在找 singing bowl 的資料噢.

睡覺前, 會用 singing bowl 做 meditation, 睡覺好的. 希望多學一些關於 holistic wellness, 追逐過 luxury fashion, it’s the right timing for me back to internal.

Yoga Mat – Manduka and Liforme

I am a fortunate one I don’t have to bring yoga mat to studio. (Thanks to the successful business model made in Hong Kong.)

The first yoga mat I bought was Manduka. It’s because I needed home practice when I took training (2 years ago). The longer you practice, the better understanding of your body condition. My right knee is not that good, so I chose Manduka because of the thickness.

I sweat a lot even I am not doing hot class. So I bought Liforme a month ago. I saw many posts saying that kind of you choose one of them. It’s SO AMAZING when I use both of them for practice. I got the protection for my knee, headstand, at the same time I can have secure grip for arm balancing poses (I am weak in those).

To me, yoga mat (and other thing which can make my practice/ workout better) is a gift to myself. So I clean the yoga mat with care every time 🙂 I know I am changing. In the past, I spent the money on clothing, fast fashion and fad items. After practice, I found I can’t live without coffee and yoga.

What I am trying to say you have to find something you love doing in life, treat yourself so well. So that you can share your energy with others.

運動的好處

除了大家最常聯想到的 stay fit, stay healthy, 對於心理素質也是一個有效的訓練.

stay fit, 才能把 normcore 的服飾穿得好看, 因為我是提倡建立 capsule wardrobe 的人, 很多東西也是一環扣一環, 這是 lifestyle, 也是你個人的品牌.

stay healthy, 這是享受自由的大前提, 沒有了健康, 啥都別想做, 因為有心無力.

為什麼我會說運動是心理素質的訓練, 以我來說, 我好些時候會有懶床的習慣, 但早起 yoga practice/ workout 時, 我是聽到鬧鐘響, 便立即起床. 運動可以治好拖延症. 還有, 我跑步時, 總會設定一個距離, 比方說 5k, 6k (看當天身體狀況), 基本上, 跑到一大半的時候, 就會不想跑, haha, 但聽到 workout remix 的音樂, 還是乖乖地繼續跑. 因為完成目標後, 你會打從心底裡笑出來.

yoga practice 也不是每一個 asana 你也能做到 full pose, 尤其是在 hot room 裡頭, 但 focus 令你忘記身處的環境, 練習時間也很快過去.

這說明運動會讓你變得有決心, so far, 我還未找到其他東西會為我帶來這樣的轉變.

我們的生活, 也不是每一刻都是順境, 碰到問題正常不過, 但我們要有籌碼讓事情變好.

每一個人都希望愈來愈好, 先從自身變好,其他東西都會改善過來. 因為是我們選擇怎去看待, react 事情.

懶人養生方法

早起梳洗後, 喝 1 杯暖水, 再吃 1, 2 片生薑片 (秋季除外), 暖身有利血液循環, 皮膚也會變好.

早餐要吃好, 午餐要吃飽, 晚餐吃最少 (最好是睡前 3 – 4 小時), 多菜少肉, 多吃海鮮及豆類 (痛風患者除外), 要吃好油 (沒有油, 頭髮乾燥, 皮膚也失去彈性), 還有湯水. 醫食同源, 不時不吃, 既享口福, 亦能養生.

晚上, 可以的話, 睡前浸腳 (身體有狀況時, 請向中醫查詢) , 偏熱的水已很好, 也可以買一些藥粉.

睡好覺, 是最好的護膚品.

Home workout

I won’t say I love Plank. But it’s really convenient, basically you can do it at home with little space. You only need to download Interval Timer apps.

You can go YouTube to search the correct pose, and find some challenges at Pinterest. The reason to train the abs is to protect our lower back and get strength. If you are going to lose weight, start with burning belly fat.

Other choices like wall sit, boat pose, bird dog crunches also good for abs training.

No time, don’t want to commit gym membership <— excuses, do the things that make you happy and healthy.

Build up healthy habits at workplace

To keep the energy, we can

What to drink?
Water! Apart from coffee, try green tea, black tea, floral tea.

Healthy Snack? (whole food is a good idea)
Sweet – dark chocolate, jujube, goji berries, fruits like apple/ blueberries
Savory – nori
Natural – nuts (no added sugar/ salted)

Do not cross your legs when sitting on chair.
Try to walk around (go to washroom or pantry) say every single hour.
If you feel your body is tired, do a simple seated twisting* on chair.

Those suggestion is good for eyes, brain function, digestive system and anti-stress.

*move your hips close to the edge of the chair; keep your legs hip width apart, toes pointing forward,
use your right hand grab the top of the chair, place your left hand on the right thigh,
inhale – sit tall,
exhale – twist to your right side
stay 3 – 5 breaths, change side
Tips: only twist the upper body when exhale, keep the legs

減肥先戒凍飲

減肥的方法有很多, 如你不喜歡運動, 那可從飲食及生活習慣入手.

那首要的是戒凍飲, 因為凍飲含糖量高, 而且大部分女生體質偏寒, 從中醫角度來看, 凍飲傷脾胃, 體內循環變慢, 脂肪較易積聚.

清水, 是最好的選擇; 覺得沒有味道, 中國茶, 花茶 (挑些較平和的如玫瑰花) 也是不錯的選擇, 如果你的胃沒啥問題, 久不久也可以喝檸檬水. 想嚐甜的, 可於中午或下午食少量水果, 但避免飲果汁, 因為果汁很容易讓人攝取過量果糖.

晚上 11 點 – 12 點入睡, 既可減肥, 亦可護肝.

減肥不為取悅任何人, 這是為了自己的健康, 而且打扮上, 會有更多選擇, 這也是小確幸.

Breakfast Ideas

I may have one more egg or milk after practice if I am hungry.

One of my targets is stay away from processing food.

Do not skip a meal no matter you want to stay fit or have a brighter skin.

p.s. I am not vegan, but I prefer no meat in the breakfast.

If I am not flexible to practice yoga

I think this is one of the FAQ from people who is new to yoga.

Don’t worry, I am not flexible either. But you can improve the flexibility with practice, practice and practice. Through the journey, you will experience

  • know your body better
    we always say that the pose you hate most is the poss you need most
  • being patience
    you have to listen your inner voice and your body, don’t force to happen
  • stay focus
    stability comes first, so you can focus the present

I am happy to apply some experience outside the studio. Sometime works well, sometime doesn’t. That’s why I keep practice.
